Iosif Ion Prunner has been conducting the "George Enescu" Philharmonic Choir in Bucharest, Romania for over 20 years. Born in a well-known musical family (Prunner- Silvestri) which appeared on the stage of the Philharmonic for more than 100 years, he began studying the piano with his father at the age of 5. After graduating the University of Music in Bucharest, he toured intensively both as a concert and chamber music pianist, in Romania and abroad - Germany, Russia, Czech Republic, Switzerland.

During the same period, he attended conducting classes with Constantin Bugeanu and Sergiu Comissiona. Besides being involved in all of the most representative musical projects with the Philharmonic Choir, Iosif Ion Prunner is an active orchestra conducter, having worked with prominent ensembles such as Orfeon Donostiarra in San Sebastian, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Russian Philharmonic Orchestra.

During his career, he appeared along great personalities of the international stage - Ion Marin, Adrian Erod, Neil Stuart, Dolora Zeijck, Tougan Sukiev, Daniel Barenboim, Pietro Colombara, Valentin Gheorghiu.

Currently, Iosif Ion Prunner is the Artistic Director of the "George Enescu" Philharmonic in Bucharest, Romania.
