TUESDAY NIGHT SESSION

For 14 years,Tuesday night season set out to revive the chamber concert/recital and bring even more to the attention of the music-loving public the wonderful Small Hall within the premises of the Romanian Athenaeum: a warm and discreet space, with its 100 seats, very suitable for intimate sounds... Our first intention was to offer this stage to Romanian students  who study abroad and who stand out through a concert or  competitive activity, at the international level. Looking back, we are happy to say that, among many others, there were guests  aiTuesday evening cellist Andrei Ioniță – first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition/Moscow 2015 -,violinist Cristina Goicea-  1st place in the  Michael Hill International Violin Competition-2017, organized in Auckland in New Zealand and  the winner of the competition the Johannes Brahms competition, from Pörtschach, Austria, XX edition - ,pianists Florian Mitrea- the III prize and the prize for the best interpretation of a Mozart work at the ARD International Competition Munich/2014 and many other prizes at Lagny-sur-Marne (France), Premio Città di Imola (Italy), Santa Cecilia (Portugal), Hamamatsu (Japan), the most recent ones at the Scottish International Piano Competition and International Music Competition Harbin (China) and the prestigious Royal Overseas League in March 2018 -   and Adela Liculescu  winner of the  International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna (2013), Svetislav Stancic Piano Competition Zagreb (2014), Karlovac Piano Competition (2014), a   bb3b-136bad5cf58d_of the piano competition organized by the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe(2017) the winner of the piano competition entered in the Johannes Brahms competition, in Pörtschach, Austria/2017, of the Brahms Competition in Detmold and of the  of the competition Prix du Piano, held in February 2018 at the Kursaal in the Swiss capital Bern - , the Arcadia Quartet - laureate of very important international chamber music competitions such as The 8th Osaka International Chamber Music Competition & Festa in 2014, Wigmore Hall London International String Quartet Competition in 2012, Almere International Chamber Music Competition in 2011 and International Chamber Music Competition Hamburg in 2009 .

We maintain and further inTuesday evening season 2022-2023 the main option for young Romanian musicians who study or work abroad and in future recitals guests from Glasgow, Vienna, Budapest, Lyon, Amsterdam... will be able to be heard. We will also have several winners of international competitions as scholarship recipients of the Royal Margareta Foundation of Romania.
